Long Lane School is the State of Connecticut's secure facility for adolescents. The windows for the Chapel/Common Room have a dramatic yet quiet effect upon the space and its users. The design expresses "that which is beyond" through an abstract design rendered in the powerful medium of color and light. The artwork, entitled "Unity Windows", personalizes and enlivens this institutional space and makes it special for the residents of the facility. This work was selected in a limited design competition and funded by the Art in Public Places Program of the Connecticut Commission on the Arts.
