This piece, titled "Hartley Memorial", honors a well-loved employee and was installed in 2000 in the Resource Room of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The sandblasted stained glass with vitreous silver stain is suspended one inch from the wall. Each glass piece is connected to its neighbors above and below with small steel bolts and forged mild steel hanging rods. In this artwork the brush strokes in the original design are made a physical presence in the room.
