"Changes
and Variations on the Theme of Growth", installed in 2001,
is a reference both to the goals of the education process
and to the processes which occur in the natural world. The
artwork, located at the ground floor entrance vestible, is
seen every day by employees while entering and leaving the
building. The second site, in the first floor lobby, is seen
primarily by the Board of Trustees, the University President
and his/her staff. This work was selected in a limited design
competition and was funded by the Art in Public Places Program
of the Connecticut Commission on the Arts.
