Between 1980 and 1984, three architectural commisions were completed for libraries in the City of Cambridge library system. All were funded by the Cambridge Arts Council. The project pictured is in the North Cambridge Library and was completed in 1980. Like much of this architectural work, it reinforces the natural light and views and has an unusual shape: it is about 18' long and only 14" high.
